Garlic Chicken for Beginning Cooks

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil (plus a little extra for drizzling)
  • 2 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • ½ tsp each of salt and pepper (use your discretion on this)
  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a bowl.
  3. Lightly drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper until thoroughly covered on both sides. Then place the breasts in a baking dish.
  4. In a saucepan, over medium heat, sauté garlic with olive oil.
  5. Turn off heat, remove pan from stove, and mix brown sugar with the garlic.
  6. Spread the brown sugar and garlic mixture evenly over the top of each piece of chicken.
  7. Bake uncovered for 18-20 minutes.
  8. Remove, serve, and enjoy!
If you’re not a huge garlic fan like me, feel free to use only half.
