Our five mommies are ready to share their final results with you!

I’m beyond proud of our Mommy Makeover contestants and so thankful for each of advisers. The last three months have been a challenge for everyone, but I’m amazed by how this group of women came together and lifted each other up, pushing each other and supporting each other through every high and low.

We’ll announce the top three adviser picks this Thursday, April 28. Be sure to come back here where you’ll be able to vote for your top choice. Our grand-prize winner will be announced on Monday, May 2.

And now, here are our five incredible participants with their final results and final thoughts about these past three months!

Pounds and inches lost.

This month I lost 2.2 pounds and 6.25 inches, which means 12.4 pounds and 26.75 inches total! Wooooohoooooo!

How did you do on your SMART goal from January?

I’m proud of where I ended. I didn’t quite lose the 20 pounds that were my goal, but I did lose a ton of inches. Through this contest I’ve learned that inches are the most important thing. I feel so much more comfortable in my own skin, and I’m ready to go wedding dress shopping, which was my biggest and main goal for the entire duration of the contest! I still have a little ways to go, but I have until October. I can’t wait to see where I am and to continue the journey that I started with all these awesome ladies.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how effective do you think this contest was on helping you reach your three-month goal(s)?

On a scale of 1 to 10, this contest for me absolutely is a 13. I know that’s a funny number, but 13 is my lucky number. Plus, this contest has brought so much joy to my life! It’s inspired me to be a better version of myself, and it’s given me the internal motivation to not give up. To tell myself that I am deserving and that I can do anything I put my mind to. There are things that I have done in this last three months that I never thought I’d be capable of doing. I absolutely love the journey I’ve been on and the amazing women I’ve got to walk hand-in-hand with. It really wasn’t a contest in my eyes. It’s been more of an encouraging, uplifting, and positive environment to help each other grow and to learn about ourselves. I’m so thankful that I took a step outside of my comfort zone to enter. I couldn’t imagine looking back at my life a year from now and not having this opportunity be a part of my journey.

Do you feel like you’ve made a lifestyle change? If so, how do you see that playing out in the coming months?

I’ve made a complete lifestyle change! I honestly kind of laugh sometimes at how ridiculous some of my excuses used to be as to why I couldn’t do something or accomplish something. Now I know I’m perfectly capable of accomplishing the goals I set for myself.

What has had the most profound impact on you throughout the contest?

The people. Plain and simple. The amazing women whom I now think of as family. They have helped me on bad days and celebrated on the good days. It was never a competition. It was an amazing environment that helped with accountability. The only competition I had throughout the entire three months was with myself. I woke up every day making sure I beat the version of myself from the day before. Nothing but greater things can come from that mental determination. Without this contest, I never would’ve gotten to the point that I am now. It gives me even more motivation to continue and not give up because I believe in myself again. I’d lost that feeling a long time ago, and it’s so amazing to have it back. Now I can pay it forward by trying to inspire others to be motivated and to go after the things that they want.

As a mom, do you feel like your life has evolved in a positive direction during the contest? If so, how?

I didn’t realize how much my negativity affected the people around me. I wasn’t negative with others. I was negative with myself and never realized how much it played a part in everyday life, affecting the people around me. Our home is so much happier and energetic. It’s just a lighter feeling in the room. In other words, my house is now a home! I have so much patience and so much love in my heart. Now that I feel that for myself it’s completely changed the way we live. Even though this is a contest and it’s coming to a close, I already feel like I’ve won. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity.

What is one thing you wish all moms out there knew when it comes to leading a healthy, positive, and productive lifestyle?

Jeez-o Peet’s, where do I begin? If I had to pick just one thing, it would be what I had to tell myself each and every single day. You. Are. Deserving! The minute you realize that and believe it yourself, you are capable of absolutely anything. We are moms, we are the strong ones, we are the glue for our family, and it’s such a strong powerhouse to be a mom. The minute we realize this and believe in ourselves, we can take on the world. Those healthy, positive, and productive lifestyle changes that might seem scary or outside our comfort zones are well within reach. Show your children that you can do anything you put your mind to! We are their leaders. They look to us for guidance, and they are always watching what we do. We are responsible for molding them to be the best version of themselves and to be an amazing, accomplished, determined adult. So when we practice what we preach, they’ll know they can accomplish anything, too.

Pounds and inches lost.

This month I lost 3 pounds and another inch, which makes 15 pounds and 8 inches total, and it’s just the beginning!

How did you do on your SMART goal from January?

I think I achieved my goal and more. My goal was very attainable—I wasn’t trying to redefine weight loss, but rather set a goal that would be a shift in mindset and something that I would be able to continue beyond the contest.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how effective do you think this contest was on helping you reach your three-month goal(s)?

I would say a 9. The only thing that could have made it better was for everyone to be local and have more face-to-face time together. But such is life in a world where we are spread out and connected by electronic communication!

Do you feel like you’ve made a lifestyle change? If so, how do you see that playing out in the coming months?

I do feel like I’ve made a lifestyle change. There’s always room for improvement and always room to make even better choices, but as a whole I really feel like my mindset has changed in terms of what I value on a daily basis. I want to be out, be active, be healthier, and just in time for summer!

What has had the most profound impact on you throughout the contest?

The Comeback Circle Facebook group has been the biggest blessing. Not having the ability to check in with people in person was mostly overcome by the group, with check-ins, tips, positive messages, etc.

As a mom, do you feel like your life has evolved in a positive direction during the contest? If so, how?

My life has evolved in a certain respect. I’m very conscious of how my son sees me as he grows up. Before R, I lived a life that was mostly about me—my career, what I wanted to do on a Friday night, stuff like that. Now, with him, I want him to grow up and see that his parents are active and healthy so he can take that example and make those good choices for himself.

What is one thing you wish all moms out there knew when it comes to leading a healthy, positive, and productive lifestyle?

The importance of “me” time. I really can’t stress it enough. As a mom, we’re often going 100 mph at all times, but if we don’t carve out that time to really do things that center us and make us better people, it reflects in other parts of our life in a bad way. When we do make that time, we usually find that everyone survived in our absence and we feel like a better mom at the end of the day.

Pounds and inches lost.

This month I lost 1 pound and 2.25 inches, which means 7 pounds and 7.25 inches total!

How did you do on your SMART goal from January?

My goal was to get back to my wedding-day weight, and I reached my smart goal right at the beginning of our last week. My second goal was to inspire at least one person, and I feel that I’ve inspired a lot of people! I’ve offered so much advice from what I’ve learned and shared helpful information to so many other moms, friends, and family members. It feels great!

On a scale of 1 to 10, how effective do you think this contest was on helping you reach your three-month goal(s)?

10! I don’t think I could’ve done this much in such a short amount of time without the contest. The constant support, motivation, kind words, and love are what got me to where I am today. I would like hope that I could have figured this out on my own. However, the contest pushed me to get back into shape and eat right, which allowed me to find myself again. I’ve never in my life fully understood what a great diet is and what foods I needed to be eating in order to get the best results while working out. This contest has provided me with lifelong knowledge and tools to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle for myself and my family.

Do you feel like you’ve made a lifestyle change? If so, how do you see that playing out in the coming months?

I for sure see a lifestyle change! I’ve enjoyed learning and trying new healthy recipes, and I hope to continue to grow with my family by eating better. I’m planning to enjoy and reward myself in the coming months in moderation but will always try to maintain and instill what I have learned in my everyday life forever!

What has had the most profound impact on you throughout the contest?

It’s hard to narrow it down to one thing having a profound effect on me because the way it all came together is what got me to where I am today. I feel as though the Comeback Circle Facebook group kept me accountable and responsible. It motivated me to keep pushing through even when I wanted to throw in the towel or make an excuse to quit. The diet and exercise are what brought my mind back to places it hasn’t been in years. It also helped re-establish my patience and organization, inspiring me to set new goals for myself in the future. I ‘m so much happier when I take care of myself and when I work out. I won’t forget from this day forward how much better of a mom and wife I am when I am not only taking care of my family but myself as well. I’m also overwhelmed with gratitude for every bit of support and knowledge shared by the coaches and Behaviorists. Each coach and Behaviorist had a piece of what brought me to where I am right now, whether it was through challenging workouts, helping me set SMART goals, learning to self-talk, dieting tips, or just kind words of encouragement. I owe so much of my success to each and every person who played a role in the contest.

As a mom, do you feel like your life has evolved in a positive direction during the contest? If so, how?

Absolutely. My kids are seeing a side of me that they haven’t seen in a long time. They’ve witnessed me putting in long days and pushing through workouts. They’ve watched me eat better and they want to eat better with me. We talk about food all the time, and when we eat dinner or have a snack they ask me if the food is healthy for them. Along with this, the kids are getting a happier mom. My patience is back, my energy is back, and my drive to be the best version of myself has come back to life. For so long I carried so much guilt about doing things for myself and making time for myself. That was my biggest hurdle in the beginning, but making time for myself has made me the best mom I’ve ever been. I hear so many other moms say, “How do you even have time to work out?” My answer is, “I make time.” I make the time now because I know I can be a better mom when I not only take care of my family but also myself.

What is one thing you wish all moms out there knew when it comes to leading a healthy, positive, and productive lifestyle?

I wish for every mom out there to know that a healthy, positive, productive lifestyle is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and your family. It’s one of the few things that you can control in this ever-changing life, and to lead life in that way can only hold great things to come.

Do you feel like you’ve made a lifestyle change? If so, how do you see that playing out in the coming months?

It’s achievable and you don’t have to do it alone…
