Turkey Lettuce Wraps

There’s nothing more gratifying in the kitchen than conquering a restaurant recipe. If you like the Chicken Lettuce Wraps at P.F. Chang’s, then you’ll probably be excited about what I’m sharing on The Monday Menu today.

Even if you’ve never had this delicious appetizer at P.F. Chang’s, I can assure you that the dish is a safe-bet crowd pleaser. You know how everyone wants the recipe for Red Lobster’s cheese biscuits? These lettuce wraps are in the same playing field.

When I make them at my house, they’re gone in about five seconds flat. They’re the perfect combination of savory and refreshing, but what’s even better, is that I can eat them without feeling like I’ve overindulged.

Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Serves: 10 wraps
  • For the Sauce
  • ½ cup agave nectar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp hot mustard
  • 6 tbsp red chili paste
  • 4 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 3 tbsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

    For the Wraps
  • 6 tbsp sesame seed oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp hot mustard
  • 4 tbsp fish sauce
  • 4 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • 8 oz ground turkey breast
  • 2 cups finely chopped mushrooms
  • 2 cups finely chopped water chestnuts
  • 1 cup finely chopped long green onions
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 10 iceberg or butter lettuce leaves
  1. For the Sauce
  2. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, lemon juice, and sesame oil.
  3. Whisk the ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Add hot mustard, red chili paste, Sriracha sauce, chili flakes, and minced garlic.
  5. Whisk all of the ingredients thoroughly and refrigerate until it’s time to serve.

    For the Wraps
  6. Peel, wash, and mince garlic.
  7. Separate and wash 10 lettuce leaves.
  8. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, hot mustard, fish sauce, rice vinegar, and agave nectar.

    Cooking Instructions
  9. In a wok or skillet, bring sesame seed oil to a high heat.
  10. Cook ground turkey breast halfway through, making sure to keep meat from clumping.
  11. Turn heat down to medium and mix in mushrooms, water chestnuts, long green onions, and garlic.
  12. Stir until ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  13. Evenly pour small bowl of sauce over the lettuce wrap mixture.
  14. Stir and serve mixture on 10 lettuce leaves.
  15. Add secret sauce as desired.
