This is another one of Barbara’s favorite quotes about love. At first, it may seem strange to think of love as a science, but I think Mother Teresa hit on something profound here. We can study love and we can learn from love, and just like any other science, we can experiment with love. We can explore the vast unknowns of love, yet as far as we’ve gone, there is always more to discover.
It can be broken down to chemicals and electrical impulses, but it can also defy explanation. It is simple, and at the same time, beyond expression. As Mother Teresa says, it is the greatest science in the world. I think mankind will be fascinated and engrossed by it for all the years to come.
What about you? What do you think about this quote and its stance on love?
